Is Eagle Eye ELD FMCSA-registered?
Yes. Eagle Eye ELD is fully registered on the FMCSA ELD registry. Our device meets all technical specifications of 49 CFR Part 395, Subpart B.
Does it work in Canada?
Not yet — but Canada support is planned for a future update. Eagle Eye ELD will automatically detect when a driver crosses the US-Canada border and switch to Transport Canada HOS rules to keep drivers compliant on cross-border trips.
What happens during a DOT roadside inspection?
Drivers can display logs on the app screen or wirelessly transfer logs to the officer's laptop — both methods are fully compliant. Our 24/7 support team can also assist drivers in real time during an inspection.
Can drivers edit their HOS logs?
Yes — within the limits allowed by FMCSA regulations. All edits are time-stamped and annotated with a reason. The original log is always preserved and visible to fleet managers.
What if the ELD device malfunctions?
Eagle Eye ELD has a 99.9% uptime rate. In the rare event of a malfunction, our app supports paper log mode and drivers receive clear instructions. We ship replacement hardware next business day.
