Accessibility Statement
Eagle Eye ELD is committed to ensuring our platform is accessible to every fleet operator, manager, and driver — including people with disabilities. We continuously work to meet and exceed WCAG 2.1 AA standards across all our products.
Conformance Status — WCAG 2.1
Our Commitment to Accessibility
Eagle Eye ELD believes that every truck driver, fleet manager, and carrier owner — regardless of disability — deserves equal access to the tools they need to do their job compliantly and safely. Accessibility is a core design requirement built into every product decision we make, not an afterthought.
We recognize that our users include people with visual impairments, hearing loss, motor disabilities, and cognitive differences. Our ELD platform — the dashboard, mobile app, and public website — is designed to serve everyone with dignity and without barriers.
Standards We Follow
W3C's internationally recognized framework covering perceivability, operability, understandability, and robustness. We target Level AA on all web and app surfaces.
Americans with Disabilities Act requirements for commercial software and digital services used in employment contexts including truck driver-facing applications.
Applicable to federally-used technology. Eagle Eye ELD is designed to meet Section 508 technical standards for electronic and information technology.
For Canadian fleet customers, we apply AODA WCAG 2.0 AA requirements across all customer-facing digital touchpoints.
Built-In Accessibility Features
Scalable Text
All text scales up to 200% without loss of content or functionality. Layouts reflow gracefully from 320px mobile to 4K desktop.
High-Contrast Mode
Built-in high-contrast theme (Settings → Display) meets WCAG 4.5:1 minimum contrast for all text and 3:1 for UI components.
Full Keyboard Navigation
Every interactive element is reachable by keyboard alone. Focus indicators are always visible and follow logical content structure.
Alt Text & Descriptions
All non-decorative images and charts include descriptive alt text. Complex data visualizations include text summaries and CSV downloads.
Captions & Transcripts
All instructional videos in our Help Center include closed captions. Support call recordings have transcripts available within 24 hours.
Reduced Motion
Respects OS-level "prefers-reduced-motion." All animations and transitions are disabled for users who have this preference set.
Keyboard Navigation & Shortcuts
The web dashboard is fully operable by keyboard. All functions available via mouse are also available via keyboard. Focus is never lost or trapped during normal navigation.
| Shortcut | Action | Context |
|---|---|---|
| Tab / Shift+Tab | Navigate forward / backward through interactive elements | Global |
| Enter / Space | Activate buttons, links, and form controls | Global |
| Escape | Close modals, dropdowns, and tooltips | Global |
| Arrow Keys | Navigate within menus, date pickers, and data grids | Components |

Color & Contrast
Our design system meets WCAG AA minimum contrast ratios: 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text and UI components. Color is never used as the sole means of conveying information.
- HOS violations use red color + warning icon + text label simultaneously — never color alone.
- Charts and maps include pattern fills and labels in addition to color coding for users with color vision deficiencies.
- Color blindness simulation testing covers deuteranopia, protanopia, and tritanopia using Stark and Figma plugins.
